The European Football Union announced the establishment of a reimbursement program for the final against Real Madrid at the Stade de France in St Denis. The regulation applies to fans who were at certain entrance gates and could not enter the stadium before 9 p.m. or were not allowed in at all, it said. According to UEFA, this applies to Liverpool’s entire ticket contingent of almost 20,000 tickets. UEFA General Secretary Theodoridis said the federation recognizes the fans’ negative experiences.
