There was chaos between supporters of PSIS Semarang with residents in Kartasura District, Sukoharjo, after the League 1 match between Persis Solo and PSIS at Manahan Stadium, Solo. One resident’s motorbike was burned in the riot.
Reporting from detikJateng, the case of burning a motorbike belonging to a resident of Kartasura District, after the Persis Solo Central Java Derby on Saturday (16/9) ended peacefully. The police said that the PSIS supporters group was willing to take responsibility.
“The point is that everything from the victim’s family or residents who passed by has been cleared, and the PSIS Coordinating Team is responsible, thank you, deliberation and consensus,” said Sukoharjo Police Chief, AKBP Sigit when reported by detikJateng, Sunday (17/9/2023).
Sigit said he had met and communicated with the victim’s family and PSIS supporters. “From the supporters, the Semarang side will be responsible, they have cleared it, they have cleared it, they have communicated too,” said Sigit.
Sigit explained that the group of supporters returning from Semarang had already been escorted by the police. However, when he arrived at Kartasura, there was an incident between supporters throwing each other.
“There were a lot of people, around hundreds. Some stopped, then the local residents’ motorbikes were hit. Escorts were carried out by Brimob, Traffic Police and Sector Police,” he explained.
Sigit added that his party did not yet know for certain who burned the resident’s motorbike.
