Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus WA Maclarimboen was also a victim of chaos when delivering the body of the former Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe. Fredrickus suffered bruises on his head due to being hit by stones thrown by the crowd.
Reported detikSulsel, Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Commissioner Ignatius Benny, confirmed that Fredrickus was a victim. He confirmed that Fredrickus’ condition had improved.
“It’s just a bruise,” said Commissioner Benny to reporters, Thursday (28/12/2023).
Apart from Fredrickus, Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri was targeted by the crowd. Luckily Inspector General Mathius was able to be evacuated.
Acting (Pj) Governor of Papua Ridwan Rudalamun also suffered injuries to his head when a stone was thrown. However, his condition has improved.
