In an interview with Televizier Chantal discusses the hassle. “When RTL approached me for the program, I couldn’t say no. It has everything I’ve ever been trained for: singing, dancing and acting,” said the former musical star. “It’s a wonderful thing to do.”

When Linda de Mol made the switch to Talpa in early 2019, it was soon clear that her popular programs Oh, what a year! in I do not know would stay with RTL. Linda was not amused to say the least that it was Chantal of all Oh, what a year! was going to present. Against Show news she said about it: “Yes, I think a lot of it. But I don’t want to say too much about it. It’s painful. All I can say is that if the situation had been reversed, I wouldn’t have done it.”

Chantal also lifts a corner of the veil about her new program Chantals Beauty Camper, that she makes together with Fred van Leer and Leco van Zadelhoff. “A program about looks, clothing and make-up. There will also be a new game show for Saturday night next year. I wanted that for a very long time, so there is still plenty to discover.”
