They were arrested today, as part of the spontaneous procedure, by investigative officers of the DIPYN. Chania, two citizens, as being responsible for intentionally causing a fire in a forest area in the Vamvakado area of the municipality of Kandanos Selinos, Chania, Crete, which broke out yesterday. At the same time, as the Fire Department’s announcement states, three more citizens are being sought for the same fire.

An administrative fine of 500 euros was imposed on each of the two arrested persons, according to the current legislation, while tomorrow they will be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office of Chania.
