"Former Rep. Kim bought land near the proposed Changwon industrial complex site in the name of his sister-in-law when he was a member of the National Assembly,” Myung stated during questioning, according to prosecutors. They have identified a particular site in Uichang-gu, Buk-myeon as a potential target of this scheme.
While acknowledging awareness of his sister-in-law’s land purchase, former lawmaker Kim maintains he learned of it long after the fact.
