The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, led by Ahmed Diab, in coordination with the Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Association and supervised by Amer Hussein, has decided to change the League Cup championship system in its second edition, with the exit of the team loser from the preliminary round of the championship.
The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has sent an official letter to the 4 teams participating in the preliminary round, informing them of the date of the League Cup draw, scheduled for the 9th of this month.
Meanwhile, the League Cup matches will also begin on November 19.
The Egyptian Clubs Association announced the dates of the League Cup to be held in the second edition of the tournament’s history and Future was crowned in the first edition, having won the final match against Ghazl El-Mahalla with five goals to one.
The Association of Clubs has set November 19 as the date for the preliminary phase of the tournament, with the round of 16 scheduled for 25, 26 and 27 of the same month.
The quarter-finals will be held from March 16-20 next year.
