Goodbye gas boilers: the European Union has given a decisive boost to what will be the path of renewable energy sources
For some time now, the theme of climate change and global warming is holding the bench between the seats of parliament and the European Commission. Our continent, in fact, is about to say a definitive farewell to gas boilers in the name ofenvironment he was born in savings.
In this regard, the European Union has set new ones targets on the subject of the fight climate change, expressing new limitations. In fact, from the next few years, the use of autonomous gas boilers.
That’s when we have to say goodbye to the boiler
After a long discussion, the European Commission published the guidelines about the energy savings included in the package RePower I. It is a plan from 210 billion to achieve the goal of ecological transition in our continent.
The goal is to say goodbye to autonomous gas boilers as early as 2029, therefore in 7 years. To achieve this, some will be introduced design limits environmentally friendly regarding heating systems.
It will therefore be a path that, at the end of the seven years foreseen, will lead to a progressive one elimination gas-fired boilers, which use fossil fuels. These will then need to be replaced by energy sources less polluting and expensive, in order to protect the environment and preserve citizens’ savings.
According to the plan, starting from 2025 all the concessions that Member States have approved to incentivize the purchase of fossil fuel boilers. The same instrument of concessions will have to be used to support the replacement of old plants with more efficient systems.
Also, polluting boilers will come downgraded in the respective labels between 2025 and 2026. A declassified boiler, therefore, would contribute to penalizing the energy rating of an apartment and, therefore, also its sales value.
Therefore, the member states of the European Union are preparing to initiate this energy change in view of future objectives in terms of environmental protection. There Germaniameanwhile, it has decided to anticipate the times, implementing the prohibition installation of fossil fuel heating systems as early as 2025.
