Washington. US first lady Jill Biden used her skills as an educator to modify tours of the White House, unveiling a new version on Monday that will include more details about the history of the US presidential mansion and the historic events that occurred in its famous halls.
Tours of the White House will now include the Diplomatic Reception Room, which previously could not be visited. The living room, on the first floor of the mansion, is where President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave his “fireside chats.” Visitors will now be able to hear parts of those talks.
You will also be able to see other rooms on the ground floor that were previously closed: the library; the Porcelain Room, where the White House collection of porcelain plates and glasses is located; and the Vermeil Room, which houses a collection of vessels.
You can also visit the East Room and the State Dinner Dining Room, on the upper floor.
Visitors will also be able to interact with digital displays that will replace the physical signs at the entrance to the rooms and offer a multi-sensory experience.
“Education is my life’s work and I know there are three ways to learn: visual, auditory and tactile,” Jill Biden, who was a teacher for 40 years, said Sunday night when she and President Joe Biden were Host a dinner to celebrate the updated version of the tours.

After taking the tour of the White House herself, the first lady decided she wanted to expand it to add more educational and historical content, according to those close to her. It had been decades since the ride had been updated.
“The White House tour will now allow visitors to touch, hear and see history up close,” the first lady said Sunday.
About 10,000 people tour the presidential mansion every week.
As visitors enter through the East Wing, Jill Biden will appear on video welcoming them, while President Biden will appear on video in the East Room to tell them a little of the history that took place there. The next president, who will take office in January, along with his or her partner will be able to record their own welcome messages since the changes are made in such a way that they can be adapted from one administration to the next.
Photo displays lining the hallways will now be digital, making them easier to change, while a three-dimensional model of the White House’s 18-acre (7.2-hectare) grounds explains how the presidential mansion was built and how It was expanded over more than 200 years.
The first lady’s office worked on the project for the past two years with the National Park Service, the White House Curator’s Office, the White House National Historical Association, the presidential libraries and the History Channel.
