On April 24, changes to the law on road transport will come into effect, which provide for changes in environmental protection requirements for vehicles used in commercial transport by taxi and passenger car. The most important news:
- Vehicles registered for the first time before December 31, 2008 (engine capacity cannot exceed 2000 cubic centimeters) can be used for commercial transport in taxi and passenger car until December 31, 2026.
- If the car was first registered after 1 January 2009, the maximum level of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions produced in grams per kilometer according to the New European Driving Test method must not be exceeded. (NEDC) to exceed 140 grams for a vehicle with a. capacity up to seven seats (inclusive) and 190 grams for a vehicle with a capacity of more than seven seats, as long as the vehicle complies with emission class Euro 5 or Euro 6.
- If the car is registered for the first time after December 31, 2020, the maximum level of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions it produces in grams per kilometer according to the Light Vehicle Test Method must not exceed World Harmonized Vehicle (WLTP) to be greater than 180 grams for a vehicle with a capacity of up to seven seats (inclusive) and 240 grams for a vehicle with a capacity of more than seven seats, while the vehicle complies with Euro 5 or Euro 6 emissions class.
