Changes in the board of Swedbank Latvija :: Dienas Bizness

The European Central Bank has approved Swedbank’s Head of Enterprise Administration Yevgenija Ivanova as a member of the bank’s board. Until now, Yevgenijs Ivanovs worked in the management team of Swedbank Latvija as the head of the Enterprise Administration.

It has already been reported that Yevgenijs Ivanovs, the previous head of Swedbank’s Large Enterprise Service Department, became the head of the Enterprise Administration after Lauri Menci was confirmed as the chairman of the board of Swedbank Latvija.

Yevgenijs Ivanovs has been working in Swedbank’s business services for more than 18 years. He started his career as a legal client service manager. Then he managed the International Customer Service Department, the Small and Medium Business Service Department, as well as the Large Business Service Department.

He received his education at the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences and the Economics Department of the RTU Ventspils Faculty. In addition, he also studied at the Department of International Economic Relations of the University of Latvia, while he obtained a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Management at the Business School “Turība”.

Swedbank’s management team currently consists of the chairman of the board Laura Menčas and members of the board – Karina Kulberga, head of the Private Persons Department, Vadim Frolova, head of the Customer Service Department, Līgas Škendera, head of the Financial Department, Ruta Malacanova, head of the Risk Department in Latvia, Karina Lindava, head of the Financial Crime Prevention Department, Compliance Control manager Gundegas Gencas, as well as the head of the Legal Department Agnese Garda, the head of the Personnel Department Agitas Jākobsones and the head of the Communication and Sustainability Department Lolitas Stašānes.

Swedbank’s profit in Latvia last year was 135 million euros, which is 55.17% or 48 million euros more than in 2021.

The profit increased mainly due to the increase in the bank’s revenues. The bank’s expenses have also increased during this period, bank representatives explain.

At the same time, the financial report published on the bank’s website shows that in 2022 the profit of the “Swedbank” group in Latvia was 103.992 million euros, which is 41.45% more than in 2021, while the profit of “Swedbank” itself increased by 40.4% last year and was 103.070 million euros.
