Changes in entry rules for several countries and areas

The government introduces entry restrictions and quarantine requirements for Slovakia after increasing infection.

The Norrbotten region in Sweden will turn green, which means that entry restrictions and quarantine requirements will be lifted.

In addition, five regions in Finland go from red to green. These are Central Finland’s SVD, Satakunda SVD, North Karelia’s SVD, Central Ostrobothnia’s SVD and Lapland’s SVD.

Requirements for quarantine hotels are also lifted for Cyprus, Corsica and Crete, which go from dark red to red on the infection map.

All changes take effect from midnight, night to Monday 13 September.

Status Europa

Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic continue to be green. The Faroe Islands are also green.

In Finland, the following regions continue to be green: Länsi-Pohja SVD and Åland.

The following countries in Europe are orange: Italy, San Marino, Vatican City, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta and Romania.

The following are red: Portugal, Ireland, Iceland, Greece, France, Estonia, Belgium, Lithuania, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Germany, Andorra, Monaco, Spain, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Austria.

The UK continues to be dark red with demands for quarantine hotels.

Do not advise

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs still advises against travel outside the EEA / Schengen and the United Kingdom.

There are exceptions for some selected countries and areas on the EU’s third country list, so-called purple countries.

These countries remain purple: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia.
