Changes in DIGI TV, Magio TV and Magio Sat: DIGI Sports is coming to an end, new channels will be added with the Champions League

Slovak Telekom announced several news today. Probably the biggest surprise is the end of the DIGI Sport channels. All changes are related to the launch of the new Nova Sport 3 and Nova Sport 4 sports stations, which have won broadcasting rights to several football competitions, including the UEFA Champions League. Telekom and DIGI will include both innovations in their offers from the start of broadcasting on 13 August 2021. In addition to the current Premier Sport, the Premier Sport 2 channel, which will be operated by the Czech operator O2, will be added.

After a three-year hiatus, the best football league in the world will return for Slovak Telekom and DIGI Slovakia customers. They will be able to enjoy the first matches in the preliminary round of the playoffs on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th August 2021. The group phase begins on Tuesday 14th September 2021. Viewers will be able to watch the matches on Tuesday and Wednesday on several channels simultaneously.

However, Nova Sport 3 and Nova Sport 4 will not only offer the Champions League, but also the Italian Serie A, the German Bundesliga and the Spanish La Liga. The first matches of the German Bundesliga and the Spanish La Liga will start on Friday 13 August 2021, the Italian Serie A will start a week later.

In connection with the mentioned news and the inclusion of new TV channels, the broadcasting of DIGI Sport sports stations will be terminated. However, clients of Telekom and DIGI Slovakia will not lose their popular sports competitions, as they will be moved to new TV channels (Premier Sport 2, Nova Sport 3 and Nova Sport 4), which will be created after 13 August 2021. As for the English Premier League, remains at least one year at Premier Sport.
