Changes at PlayStation: Reflecting on Shawn Layden’s Departure and Looking to the Future

It’s been nearly four years since former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden suddenly and mysteriously left Sony. This led to quite a few changes at the company, as the Japanese company’s gaming arm began to focus more on Europa, appointing Dutchman Hermen Hulst as head of PlayStation Studios and replacing Layden with Briton Jim Ryan. The final changes left many people disappointed. Leanne seems less of a gamer and more businesslike and intense. Well, we’ll soon find out how PlayStation fares without him.
