Mainz – Environment: (rap) For New Year’s Eve 2020 / New Year’s 2021, the following changes will be made to garbage collection in the Mainz urban area: The weekly service for the collection of residual waste, paper and organic bins will be on the four working days Monday to Wednesday (December 28-30, 2020) and on Saturday (January 2nd, 2021). The disposal company asks urgently to allow access to the containers from 6 a.m.!

The collection of the glass bins will be postponed from Friday, January 1st, 2021 to Saturday, January 2nd, 2021.

Change in the yellow bags from the new year 2021
There will be new collection days for the collection of yellow bags in the districts of Altstadt, Drais, Ebersheim, Finthen / Layenhof and Marienborn from 2021, in Drais / Finthen / Layenhof the collection will be postponed from 01.01.21 to Saturday, 02.01.2021. You can find out all other changed collection dates for the yellow sack either in the MainzerMüllMagazin or on the homepage of the waste disposal company (www.eb-mainz.de.)

On Thursday, December 24th, 2020 and December 31st, 2020 there will be no garbage collection, only glass and yellow bags will be collected.

Changed opening times
The waste and recycling centers, the pollutant collection point in Budenheim and the Mainz environmental store will remain on December 24th. and closed on December 31, 2020.

Christmas tree collection
The Christmas tree collection will take place in the entire city area on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 in 2021.
