Change in the Oldendorf police station – Andreas Viets retired – Michael Engel new local police officer

stadium At the end of November 30, Oldendorf’s longtime local police officer, Chief Police Inspector Andreas Viets, received his well-deserved retirement after reaching the age limit after 46 years of service and 2,5 months. After his training and time in the riot police, Andreas Viets was on patrol in Stade from May 1979 to October 1995 and then moved to the Oldendorf police station in November 1995. There he was responsible for all matters of police for the citizens of Oldendorf and the villages of the former municipality for 27 years.

He will now be replaced by 41-year-old Chief Police Inspector Michael Engel, who is now Oldendorf’s new local police officer. Michel Engel also worked extensively in the Stade patrol service and in the disposal unit of the Stade police inspection and most recently at the Himmelpforten police station since February and is now relocating to Oldendorf. He lives in the municipality of Oldendorf-Himmelpforten and already knows the village and the people well. Michael Engel is looking forward to the new assignment and the contact with the citizens of Oldendorf and the surrounding area.
