Change in Spanish entry rules may be bad news for tourists

Spain will adjust the entry rules for travelers from other countries from Monday, a spokesperson for the Contact Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms. Heart of the Netherlands. A corona test must be taken 48 hours before arrival.

Now all travelers from the Netherlands must be able to show a negative PCR test, which must be taken within 72 hours before arrival at destination. That will change from Monday. From then on, it is allowed to use an antigen rapid test in addition to the standard PCR test, but both tests must not be older than 48 hours.

That may be bad news for Dutch people who leave for Spain in the next two days and have a corona test taken more than 48 hours before arrival.

No test for people with injection(s)

People who have been fully vaccinated will no longer have to be tested from Monday. They must be able to show a vaccination certificate. There must also be a period of two weeks between their last shot and their arrival in Spain and they must complete a health declaration.
