Of course, the coronavirus epidemic and the state of emergency also affect the payment of pensions. From Thursday, a new rule applies, according to which seniors do not have to come to the post office in person for him.
The Czech Social Security Administration came up with an important one this week information. For the duration of the emergency, it will again be possible to pay pensions for the use of the power of attorney as a measure against the spread of coronavirus.
Older people and people with weakened immunities had the opportunity to effectively claim a pension from a relative or other trustworthy person. To express this expression of will, a form is used, which must be signed by the pension recipient and the agent.
The power of attorney is intended only to take over the payment of the pension; when submitting it, Česká pošta will verify the identity of the proxy holder using the data provided on the form.
The power of attorney is valid once for a specific installment and after the payment of the principal’s pension it becomes a part of the archived part of the payment document. The Post Office enabled the payment of pensions on the basis of a correctly completed power of attorney from 5 November 2020.
