FC Basel is facing a change in operational management.

FC Basel announced a change in the club’s management on Tuesday evening. CEO Chris Kauffmann will be leaving the club. His contract, which runs until October 2024, will not be extended.

FC Basel and CEO Chris Kauffmann are going their separate ways. “By mutual agreement, the expiring contract will not be extended,” FCB announced on Tuesday evening.
Kauffmann’s contract expires in October 2024. He joined FCB in autumn 2022, where he became CEO last March.
A successor has not yet been announced. Kauffmann is currently on vacation and will continue to perform his role at the club “until further notice”. FCB will communicate further action in “due course”.
