Chandrayaan-3: ISRO is going to surprise the world again, shocking statement on lander and rover

Bangalore. After the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3’s lander and rover on the Moon, ISRO hopes that the duration of this mission will not be limited to one lunar day or 14 Earth days and it can be reactivated when the Moon rises again. . After the lander and rover have landed, the systems on board are now ready to perform a series of experiments, to be completed within 14 Earth days, before the moon gets dark and extremely cold.

Chandrayaan’s lander Vikram landed on the south pole of the moon at 6.04 pm on Wednesday and it accomplished an objective with the ‘soft landing’ of this mission. ISRO announced on Thursday that the rover Pragyan has ejected from the lander. It said, ‘India walked on the moon.’

The lander and rover, weighing a total of 1752 kg, are designed to operate in the light of a lunar day to study the lunar atmosphere. However, ISRO officials are not ruling out the possibility of them being active for another lunar day.

Explaining in detail about the process after soft landing, ISRO Chairman S Somnath had said, ‘After this, all the experiments will run one after the other. All these have to be completed in one day of the moon which is equal to 14 days of the earth. He had said that as long as there is sunlight, all systems will continue to get energy.

Somnath said, ‘As soon as the sun sets, there will be deep darkness everywhere. The temperature will drop below minus 180 degrees Celsius. Then it will not be possible to make the systems work and if it continues further then we should be happy that it has become active again and we will be able to work on the system once again. He said, ‘We hope that something like this happens.’
