Michael Chandler earned a great win over Tony Ferguson in UFC 274 which took place at the Footprint Center, Phoenix, Sunday (8/5) morning WIB.
A Chandler hard kick in the second round went straight into Ferguson’s chin. The kick immediately made Ferguson unconscious.
Seeing Ferguson unconscious, the referee then stopped the fight. Chandler was immediately declared a KO over Ferguson when the second round had only been running for 17 seconds.
This is Chandler’s first win in the UFC after losing to Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira. While Ferguson suffered a fourth straight defeat after being bent by Gaethje, Oliveira, and Beneil Dariush.
“I see his hand is always out and I can take advantage of it. I know I have to give something special against Tony Ferguson,” said Chandler after a knockout win at UFC 274.
Chandler also challenged two fighters after defeating Ferguson, namely Justin Gaethje and Conor McGregor.
“I’m ready to go back to the main event fight, I’m ready to fight Gaethje again. I also want to fight Conor McGregor. McGregor you have to come back and fight someone, I’m the most entertaining fighter right now,” said Chandler.
UFC 274 will then battle it out for two world titles, Charles Oliveira vs Justin Gaethje and Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza.
