Potsdam (dpa / bb) – Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) wants to visit little researchers in a Potsdam kindergarten on Tuesday. In his Bundestag constituency, the Chancellor wants to see how girls and boys between the ages of two and six carry out experiments and get into conversation with them. For example, it should deal with the question of what stars are and how old the universe is. The occasion is the “Day of Little Researchers”, a nationwide day of participation, which this year has the motto “Adventure in space – come with me!” stands.
The non-profit foundation “Children forschen”, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, wants to ensure good early education in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT) and sustainable action by girls and boys. The “Day of Little Researchers” has been held since 2009. The kindergarten in Potsdam belongs to the non-profit organization Fröbel.
