Counselor Ahmed Al-Zind was born in the village of Damtno, Gharbia Governorate, in 1946, to a father who worked as an elder in the village and as president of the agricultural association there. Al-Zand graduated from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Azhar University in 1970, and graduated in various judicial positions between the Public Prosecution and the Judiciary, in many governorates, the longest of which was his work in the prosecutions and courts of the Aswan and Dakahlia governorates..

Al-Zand was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Judges Club for two consecutive terms in the 1980s, where he contributed with many of his colleagues at the time to the establishment of the Tanta Judges Club. Al-Zind was elected president of the Egyptian Judges Club for two consecutive terms, after he and his electoral list achieved a huge victory over their competitors, who called themselves the “Independence Movement.”
