Championships in Immenstaad and Calw: Five more titles for the Shotokan Karate Dojo

Sing. The Shotokan Karate Dojo Singing with its 3 fighters once again achieved a record at the South German Karate Championship and two weeks later at the Hermann Hesse Cup in Calw, the largest karate tournament in southern Germany!

At the DJKB South German Karate Championships in Immenstaad on October 12th, Hanna Steinhof became 3-time South German champion in Kumite (fight), Kata (form) and Kata team. Leni Steinhof had to narrowly admit defeat against her sister in the final and achieved 2nd place in Kata, 3rd place in Kumite and, with her teammates Hanna and Mathilda, 1st place in Kata Team.
The team’s third fighter, Mathilda Abert, didn’t miss it and took second place in kumite and third place in kata. So all 3 starters from the Shotokan Karate Dojo were on the podium together in their disciplines! .

The series of successes continued: two weeks later the 3 Karate-ka started at the Hermann Hesse Cup in Calw. The kata team with Hanna, Leni and Mathilda fought for second place. Hanna Steinhof won the gold medal in Kata and silver in Kumite. Leni Steinhof took first place in Kumite and came second in Kata. Mathilda Abert didn’t lose a fight and took 1st place in Kata and 3rd place in Kumite in her age group.

Coach Frank Ostermann is also very satisfied with these remarkable achievements and can look back on a very successful year in 2024 with his students.
