Wydad de Casablanca (WAC) won against the Algerian club Jeunesse Sportive Kabylie (JSK) by 3 goals to 0, Saturday evening at the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca on behalf of the 6th and last day (group A ) of the African Champions League.
Les Rouge et blanc won thanks to a double from Junior Sambou (32nd, 51st) and a goal from Zouhair El Moutaraji (87th). Both clubs have already qualified for the quarter-finals of this competition.
Thanks to this victory, the WAC finished at the top of this group with 13 points, ahead of their opponent of the day (10 pts). The Angolan club Petro Atletico is 3rd (7 pts), while the Congolese of AS Vita Club occupy 4th place (4 pts).
The other representative of Moroccan football in this competition, Raja Casablanca, also qualified for the next round, beat Tanzanian club Simba SC on Friday at home with a score of 3 goals to 1.
Raja finished top of this pool with 16 points, followed by Simba SC (9 pts), Horoya Conakry (7 pts) and Vipers SC (2 pts). The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup will take place this Wednesday in Cairo (18:30 GMT).
