Champions League: Weiss sent Slovan to the next round with a goal directly from the corner, Cluj ends unexpectedly

Transfers on the route Slavia – Sparta always arouse emotions. Whether the player goes directly to the rival or with a transfer station. The most recent case of Jan Kuchta was also a topic at Slavia’s pre-season press conference, but the club’s bosses did not dwell on it for too long anyway.

Slavia presented the new logo and sponsors at the press conference. The recovered head of the board Jaroslav Tvrdík, coach Jindřich Trpišovský, general manager Tomáš Syrovátka and players Ewerton and Ibrahim Traoré arrived.

In the second part of the conference, the question came about Jan Kuchta, who transferred to Sparta in the summer. At the same time, only half a year before, he was still wearing the shirt of Slavia and with his goals he helped the team to progress to the knockout phase of the European Conference League.

“Who is Jan Kuchta?” responded Tvrdík. I don’t like to talk about people without manners,” added the boss of Slavia. “I don’t want to add anything either, and time will tell who made what decision,” continued Trpišovský.

One cannot be surprised at her words. Especially those of the head of the board. On the day when Kuchta was supposed to meet with the Slavia management regarding the contract agreement, Tvrdík arrived from the hospital, even though he was not yet in a 100 percent health condition.

Although Slavia did not have an agreement with Kuchta at that moment, it was impolite on the part of the player not to come to the meeting. Considering what Slavia has done for him in the past and especially towards Tvrdík, whose presence at the arranged meeting indicated how much the club values Kuchty.

One wonders if these are too harsh and disrespectful words for the head of the board of Slavia, but Kucht’s behavior when looking for a new job disproves this idea.
