European champions Real Madrid have once again done what they do best in world football. Another epic upset in matchday 3 of the Champions League, this time against Dortmund 5-2.
In Madrid in an uncharacteristic rematch of last year’s final, the Germans surprised Real and led 2-0 at half-time with Mullen and Gittens and the Madrilenians had two strikes at the same stage through Rodrigo and Bellingham. In the second half, with a continuous counterattack, Real, led by the formidable Vinicius, tied within three minutes 2-2 with Riedinger and Vinicius and achieved a total reversal in the final with goals by Lucas and two more by Vinicius, who scored a hat trick!
In Turin, Stuttgart dominated Juventus, had a recital of missed opportunities as in the 1st matchday in Madrid against Real and after losing even a penalty, won in stoppage time with Toure..
In Paris Eindhoven took the lead through Lang but Paris salvaged a draw, while Arsenal struggled to bend Shakhtar’s resistance. First win for Girona and “3X3” for Aston Villa.
Earlier, Milan narrowly defeated Joli and 10-man Brugge 3-1 from 40′, while Monaco crushed Red Star 5-1.
