Real Madrid will play against Leipzig, Atlético against Inter Milan, Real Sociedad against PSG and Barcelona against Napoli in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The draw was held early this Monday morning in Nyon (Switzerland), the home of UEFA.
The round of 16 will be completed with Porto-Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven-Borussia Dortmund, Copenhagen-Manchester City and Lazio-Bayern Munich.
When are the round of 16 of the Champions League played?
The first legs will be played on February 13, 14, 20 and 21 and the second legs on March 5, 6, 12 and 13.
One of the things to highlight is that, for example, of the four English teams that were in competition, only two remained for this round: Manchester City and Arsenal. Newcastle and Manchester United fell in the first round.
The Spanish teams all finished as leaders of their groups, except for Sevilla, current champion of the Europa League, which was bottom, so it will not even continue its European path in the second continental competition.
The leaders of the different groups entered the draw from the seeded pot, so they will play the second leg of the round of 16 in their stadiums.
The Champions League final will be played at Wembley Stadium in London on June 1.
