Inter squandered their chances and lost their composure after a dispute off the pitch.
Two finishes of the beautiful battle arranged the group victory in the Champions League group D for Real Madrid, when Inter were beaten 2-0 in Madrid on Tuesday night.
Toni Kroos and Marco Asensio scored a great goal each, in turn.
Inter gave the hosts a good match for a long time. But Real Madrid advances to the cup game as the best team in the group, with a solid five-point margin to second-placed Inter.

Only the shock loss at home against little Sheriff Tiraspol in September resulted in a loss of points for the all-whites from Spain’s capital in this group game.
An event a little off the marked track became in many ways Inter’s track in the showdown they had to win to take the victory in the group.
– Should not occur
Just over an hour had passed since the match when Real Madrid stopper Éder Militão sent Inter’s Nicolò Barella into the billboards with a violent push on the side of the pitch.
The visitors’ midfielder, who was part of Italy’s European Championship-winning national team this summer, responded by handing out a blow to the leg of Militão from a lying position off the field.
Judge Clément Turpin received a message on his ear from his VAR assistants about the incident, and for Barella there was thus no prayer.

While Militão was shown the yellow card, there was an early shower on Inter’s representative in the heated situation.
– A blow with a clenched fist to the face should not occur anyway, remarked TV 2’s commentator.
“Talk about losing out on that situation there, Nicolò Barella,” he continued.
Dream meeting
From there on out, Inter had little to contend with. Real Madrid connected a bigger grip on the match with one more player.
And when substitute Marco Asensio got the last quarter to show up, the winger did just that in the best way.
The 25-year-old took the ball a small notch inwards from the right and squeezed it with a really delicious shot up in the longest cross.
Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was completely without a chance to win 2-0.
– Have you seen an end to Asensio. Right at the crossroads, the commentator praised.
Kroos in the hook
Inter, who had to win to take the group victory, jumped forward on the field on several occasions in the first 45 minutes.
Still, it was the home team that got the net buzz first at the Santiago Bernabéu.
17 minutes into the game, Toni Kroos had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide.
The German got enough time and space, and hammered the ball into the longest hook behind Handanovics with a straight wrist.
Neither Ivan Perisic nor Lautaro Martínez managed to take care of the chances they came to both before and after the 1-0 goal. This contributed to Inter not getting the result they had hoped for.
