Champions League: OM and Aubameyang lose against Panathinaikos (0-1) – AGP

Libreville, August 10, 2023 (AGP) – Olympique de Marseille and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang conceded a defeat last Wednesday against Panathinaikos (0-1) in the third round of qualifying for the Champions League.

Reduced to 10 after the exclusion of Central African Geoffrey Kondogbia in the second half (65th), the Marseilles were largely dominated throughout the game. And ended up cracking at the very end of the match on a goal from the Brazilian and former member of Everton, Bernard (1-0, 85th).

Established at the forefront of the Marseille attack alongside Azzedine Ounahi, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang hardly existed for his first official outing in his new colors.

He and his teammates now have a week ahead of them to turn things around at home in the second leg to hopefully qualify for the Champions League play-offs.
