Barcelona and Lille rumbled and sparkled in Matchday 3 of the Champions League with big wins over Bayern and Atlético in Madrid respectively.
In the big derby of the evening in Barcelona, Hansi Flick’s Barcelona against his former club Bayern had a party with a hat trick from Rafinha and another from the former Bavarian forward Lewandowski. Kane had temporarily equalized.
In Leipzig, Liverpool did whatever the namesake team wanted with Kostas Tsimikas on a rampage in the first half. In Madrid, the amazing Lille after their victory over Real in the 2nd matchday, also defeated Atlético with an upset (1-3) but also with a penalty that will raise a great debate.
In Manchester City broke out in the second half and crushed Sparta Prague 4-0 with two goals from Haaland. A shocking match took place in Lisbon where we had seven goals but it counted for three and Feyenoord got a big 3-1 win over Benfica.
Elsewhere, newly promoted Brest remained unbeaten after three matches (1-1 with Leverkusen), Inter missed a penalty with Arnautovic but won with a stoppage time goal from Thuram at Young Boys, while Dinamo Zagreb achieved a big double in Austria .
