Manchester City did not inherit the easiest schedule during the draw for the league phase of the Champions League held in Monaco this Thursday, August 29. The Mancunians will notably be the opponents of PSG.
A complicated calendar
Catalan tactician Pep Guardiola’s men won the 2023 edition of the Cup with the Big Ears, but were knocked out in the quarter-finals by reigning champions Madrid last year. This season, the Skyblues will have to get through the confrontations of a complicated league phase. The English champion will welcome Inter Milan, champion of Italy and finalist of the 2023 edition against the Citizens, and will travel to the Parc des Princes to face Paris Saint-Germain, champion of France, as well as to Turin, where the new Juventus of Thiago Motta will await them.

In addition, the English will face the Portuguese champions, Sporting CP. The other opponents seem “simpler” to beat for City on paper: FC Bruges, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Sparta Prague and Bratislava FC.
