Authorities in London, Madrid and Paris, France, have raised the alarm by stepping up security ahead of the Champions League quarter-finals tonight and tomorrow, Wednesday, top government officials said, citing threats from the Islamic State (ISIS) jihadist group.
According to the BBC, the relevant security ministries of each country are taking enhanced security measures in order to ensure that all games run smoothly and to avoid any terrorist attack or loss of human life.
The UEFA announcement
However, UEFA in its statement emphasizes that the games will be held as normal and there will be no postponement or change in terms of programming.
“UEFA is aware of the alleged terrorist threats being made to this week’s UEFA Champions League matches and is in close contact with the authorities at the respective venues. All matches are scheduled to be played as scheduled with appropriate security arrangements in place,” UEFA’s statement read.

“Kill Them All”
The terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) threatened the four stadiums that will host the first legs of the Champions League quarter-finals, releasing the image of a poster threatening the Parc des Princes, the Santiago Bernabeu, the Metropolitan and the Emirates Stadium, with the message “Kill them all.”
