Burns 2025 Champions Cup Dispute; Mohammad Amir wants India out of the tournament

It was earlier said that India would not play in the Champions Trophy matches to be held in Pakistan due to security reasons. But the two countries were engaged in a war of words without a clear understanding. Pakistan said that India is holding back due to security reasons that other teams do not.

India had asked Pakistan to host the match in Dubai on a hybrid format. But if Pakistan is not ready for this, the 2025 Champions Trophy will be shifted to South Africa, according to a PTI report.

Now former Pakistan player Mohammad Amir has protested against the strictness of BCI. Aamir said that it is difficult for other teams because of India and if India does not participate in the tournament, another team should be introduced instead.

said Aamir

“It’s a loss for cricket, it shouldn’t have happened. You can’t hurt other teams because of one team. It is better to drop India from the tournament and replace them with another team. It is funny that India refuses to play in Pakistan when other teams are preparing to compete here.

There should be a law that empowers the ICC to stand against their government interfering in cricket matters. Mohsin Naqvi will not leave the Pakistan Cricket Board by the wayside as he is the interior minister of the country. It will not make Pakistan suffer after spending millions on renovating stadiums,” Mohammad Amir said.

Earlier, the ICC had announced the first edition of the Champions Trophy. According to this version, all of India’s matches are scheduled in Lahore. But the new reports have created huge concerns in the cricketing world.

The Men in Blue have not played in Pakistan since the Asia Cup 2008. Moreover, India also refused to play the Asia Cup 2023. In the tournament which was also hosted by Pakistan, India’s matches were shifted to Sri Lanka in a high bridge manner.
