In recent days, FC Chambly has witnessed an outbreak of Covid-19 cases in its team. 16 players had to forfeit the trip to Clermont, including 10 due to coronavirus. In the bus to Auvergne, a new player saw symptoms of the disease apaprait, and his test, positive, recorded a 17th forfeit. Then came the turn of the technical staff and in particular of the trainer Bruno Luzi – who had to return to the Oise – to be reached by the Covid. Thus, there are only 2 members of the staff available for the match in Clermont, including the goalkeeper coach, forced to act as substitute goalkeeper, for lack of able-bodied players. Despite all these events, the match was not canceled and the kick-off is still scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Gabriel-Montpied stadium.
Well, let’s be professional, let’s defend our colors, let’s honor our club.
