Usituation “Intolerable”. This is how the Grand Chambéry describes the incidents that occurred on Thursday, June 10 at the Bissy recycling center.
That day, ” death threats “ were uttered against agents of the Agglomeration “By people already at the origin of several incidents of the same nature and going in violation of the regulations of the waste reception centers”, explains the Grand Chambéry in a press release.
The individuals concerned, from the community of Travelers, will be subject to a three-month ban on access to waste reception centers. A complaint was also lodged by the local community.
“An isolated incident”
The latter recalls that it devotes a budget of around 800,000 euros per year to welcoming Travelers and authorizes these families to take recovery materials from its waste reception centers.
This takes place “One day a week, according to an amicable agreement established in the past, and financed by the Agglomeration”, recalls the Grand Chambéry. And, “For their great majority”, these users “Respect established regulations and personnel”, he underlines, seeing “An isolated incident”.
The community says it is nevertheless ready, in the future, to pronounce new access bans. “As soon as necessary”.
