WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – The U-23 Indonesian National Team is preparing for the 2023 U-23 AFF Cup which will be held in Thailand on August 17-26.
At the tournament, Indonesia was in Group B with Timor Leste and Malaysia.
Ahead of the 2023 U-23 AFF Cup, Indonesian National Team Coach Shin Tae-yong summoned 23 players.
One of the players who was summoned was Titan Agung Bagus (Bhayangkara Presisi FC).
He was called upon to replace Muhammad Fajar Fathur Rahman (Borneo FC).
The plan is for the U-23 National Team to begin their first training in field A, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (10/8/2023).

“We summoned 23 players to face the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup. We started preparations for the training camp starting August 10 in Jakarta,” said Shin Tae-yong as quoted from pssi.org.
A number of names of new players were also summoned, such as Muhammad Ragil (Bhayangkara FC), Salim Akbar (Madura United), Rifky Dwi and Esal Sahrul (Persita), and Abdul Rahman (Rans Nusantara).
Meanwhile, the names of national team subscribers such as Rizky Ridho (Persija), Bagas Kaffa (Barito Putera), Beckham Putra (Persib), Ernando Ari (Persebaya) and others are still on this summons list.
“In this call, there are a number of new players that we combine with players who have often been called up by the national team,” added the coach from South Korea.
For Esal Sahrul, this calling is very special. This is because the debut was first called up by the Indonesian national team.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy and grateful to have received a call from coach Shin Tae-yong to take part in the training camp for the Indonesian U-23 team in preparation for the 2023 U-23 AFF Cup. I am determined to fight hard and maximally to get a place in the team,” said the winger from Persita the Tangerines.

Borneo FC, PSIS Semarang, Persija Jakarta, Persib Bandung, Persita Tangerang, Persis Solo, each contributed two players.
