A new study released by the Iberoamerican University entitled Consequences in the practice of rural teachers in Mexico during the closure of schools due to Covid-19points out that 92% of teachers are convinced that the level of learning developed by students, compared to a normal school year, will be lower.
Compared to urban contexts, 28% of teachers considered that rural students will not achieve the same academic achievements as urban students.

The study indicates that 44% of teachers mentioned that none of their students have Internet access and 35% reported that only between 1% and 24% of students have this resource.
Meanwhile, 16% declared that their students do not have technological resources and 49% mentioned that only between 1% and 24% of teachers have a device for online classes.
