“Challenges and Disagreements in National Education: Unions gear up for Provincial Protests and June 6 Strike”

Social dialogue seems difficult these days within the National Education house in a period when the lines are moving a lot. “The trade unions (FSU, FO, Sgen-CFDT, SE-UNSA, A & I-UNSA, SNIES-UNSA UNSA-ITRF.Bi. O and Snptes UNSA) representing National Education and University staff de Lorraine, joined by representatives of the CFDT, CGT and FO confederations, have decided not to participate in the Academic Council of National Education (CAEN) convened this Tuesday, May 23, 2023. ” In a press release, the education unions national explained their “exceptional” decision not to participate in a “proceeding when we know in advance that we will not be listened to”, denouncing the “refusal of the government to hear the word and the requests of the personnel”.

Warm-up lap before June 6

On all the hot issues on the table within the Nancy-Metz academy, the unions believe that the dice are loaded or that decisions are made in advance: training map, network and reform of vocational high schools, revaluation of salaries and careers, so many subjects on which the subjects of dissatisfaction are legion and the margins of evolution would be absent. Pointing to a Pact device which would above all have the effect of increasing an already substantial workload according to the unions and a salary increase which does not keep the presidential promises, the latter are calling for a step up. Gatherings will thus be organized on May 31 in Nancy in front of the rectorate of Nancy-Metz and in Metz in front of the Academic Inspectorate. A warm-up lap before the national strike scheduled for June 6.
