Katharine Liensberger did not like this rule at all, and in an interview with the Austrian Kleine Zeitung, she complained that she would miss her parent’s presence on the road, as they have a very close relationship. In addition to the language barrier and interpersonal relations, according to the head of the union, the nature and attitude of the Italian coach probably played a role in Livio Magoni’s resignation. The racer’s mother shouldn’t have liked him. “There were definitely differences of opinion. But mostly through the influence of the mother.’

However, he understands Katharina Liensberger’s concerns and also understands her reactions. At the same time, he explains that the new measures should not be a punishment for a failed season, but an attempt to repair the damage done and get his skiing ace back to the top.

“She always got everything. Own trainers, own physiotherapists, etc. However, he needs to be more integrated into the structure of the team. This is a process that is not easy. Part of it is also weaning from the mother. It’s normal that at some point she manages to pack her own bag by herself or carry it to the room.”
