Doha: The third season of the Chaliyar Cup All India Sevens Football Tournament organized by Chaliyar Doha will start tomorrow in a press conference, officials announced in a press conference in support of the Asian Cup being held in Qatar.
The tournament will be held at the Doha University Ground (CNAQ) and will see sixteen talented Indian community teams from Qatar battle it out on the pitch. The whistle will blow for the first match tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm. The opening match will feature Orbit FC, Oryx FC Kasargod followed by City Exchange FC, Viking FC. Alkhor, Advance Plus FC, Eagles FC, Namis International Newton FC, Al Anees FC, Qatar Friends Mambat, Waqas AFC, Manjapada FC, Brothers FC, QKJK FC Meets Qatar, Naseem United FC, Beach Boys will also face FC Trivandrum. After the quarter matches, the semi-final and final matches will be held on December 29 at the Doha Stadium. Organized by Aster Healthcare as the title sponsor and Marine Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company (MARC) as the main sponsor, the tournament will be awarded 3023 Qatari Riyals and an Ever Rolling Trophy to the champions, 2023 Qatari Riyals and a trophy to the first runner-up and 1023 Qatari Riyals by Cabtec Trading and Contracting to the second runner-up. A trophy will be awarded.
