Bisnis.comJAKARTA — Performance of owned banks Chairul Tanjung namely Bank Mega (MEGA) and Allo Bank (BBHI) have different movements. Bank Mega’s profits experienced a contraction, while Allo Bank’s profits grew high.
PT Mega Bank Tbk. (MEGA) was recorded as posting a net profit of IDR 3.51 trillion in 2023. The profit of the bank controlled by crazy rich Chairul Tanjung decreased by 13.33% on an annual basis (year on year/YoY) compared to 2022 worth IDR 4.05 trillion.
Deputy Main Director of Bank Mega Diza Larentie explained that there were two factors that would cause MEGA’s profits to contract in 2023. Firstan increase in the cost of funds aka cost of fund. Secondthere are challenges for credit distribution.
