Adel El Shourbagy, head of the Egyptian Football Association’s grievances committee, said that Al-Ahly has no right to complain about Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim’s “electrification” punishment again, pointing out that there is a difference between the grievance and the petition.
The Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Association has punished both Kahraba and Imam Ashour of Zamalek player by suspending the end of the season because of the events that took place in the Egyptian Super match that was held in the Emirates, before the appeal committee accepted the Al-Ahly and Zamalek clubs the penalties to be reduced to 10 games only.
During radio statements to the “Falcon Stadium” program, Al-Shurbaji said: “The decision of the Appeal Committee is final and may not be appealed, but the club or the affected player may file a petition to the Football Association as stipulated in the regulations.”
He added: “The petition is not submitted to the Appeals Committee but to the Football Association, and if there are new reasons, it will be transferred to the Committee.”
He continued: “In the event that Al-Ahly appeals to the Football Association, it will be considered by Al-Jabaliya, and it will be referred to the Appeals Committee in the event that there are new reasons submitted for the matter to be examined and the final decision issued.”
On Al-Janaini’s position regarding Al-Ahly’s request, he said: “Al-Janaini, the chairman of the Five-Year Committee, announced his position by rejecting the petition. So what is the new reason that will push Al-Ahly to submit the petition?”
