Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Chairman of the Democrats Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (ME) uploaded agricultural issues on his social media account, last Monday (23/10).
The upload was also considered to be related to the discourse on reform (reshuffle) the Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma’ruf Amin government cabinet which is strengthening again this week.
“Don’t forget to always consume our local agricultural products, one of which is the superior product from East Java, namely Malang apples,” wrote AHY on his Instagram account which was viewed on Tuesday (24/10) afternoon.
“Our agriculture is one of the sectors that we need to build and push to rise and progress,” he added.
AHY also said that his party – the Democrats – would continue to encourage guaranteed availability of fertilizer, the presence of innovation, technology and human resources in the agricultural sector.
“So that we can become more independent and productive, especially in providing food availability,” said the eldest son of the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

Separately, on Tuesday morning in Jakarta, President Jokowi hinted that there would be a reshuffle this week. One of the ministerial posts to be filled is Minister of Agriculture. Jokowi said that the Minister of Agriculture would be filled by a new figure.
It is known that currently the definitive position of Minister of Agriculture is vacant after NasDem politician Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) resigned. Later, SYL was named a suspect in alleged corruption within the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) by the Corruption Eradication Commission.
“Maybe [reshuffle] this week. [Hari ini] “Just prepared,” said Jokowi in response to journalists’ questions about the reshuffle, Tuesday (24/10).

However, Jokowi did not name the figure who would fill the post of Minister of Agriculture. The journalist then asked about the issue of the Democratic Party entering the cabinet. Jokowi just nodded in a positive sign.
The Democratic Party is currently part of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). Democrats support Prabowo Subianto as presidential candidate.
Later, Prabowo proposed Jokowi’s son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka as vice presidential candidate. Gibran was proposed after the Constitutional Court granted the lawsuit regarding the minimum age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates being 40 years or having previously been a regional head.
KIM has also declared the candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming last Sunday (22/10) evening.
