He called women who raised the alarm about abusive relationships “stalkers”.
On the same day that Sportbladet’s article was published, Jonas Lundström was forced out of his post as chairman of Soo Shim.
And the leader who was in focus is suspended.
Saturday’s report in Sportbladet has shaken up the successful martial arts club Soo Shim in Skellefteå. Ten women participated to varying degrees and described violations and sexual abuse over two decades.
One of them is the two-time Olympian Elin Johansson, who told how she was broken down and exploited by a leader in the club. Among other things, she allegedly had her abdomen kicked to pieces before a big competition.
But Jonas Lundström did not believe the stories. The club’s acting chairman, who took office this summer, said that there was a lack of sufficient evidence and that the information came from a small core of people who only wanted Soo Shim badly.

The leader remains at the club
– I call them what their own actions have earned them: stalkers, he said, among other things.
According to information given to Sportbladet, the board reacted sharply to the crisis management. As early as Saturday, they should have made a decision on a motion of no confidence and now Lundström announces that he is leaving the association.
– I’m stepping down. I have informed the board, says Lundström to Norran.
A large part of the review focused on a single leader. His future is also to be discussed by the board, but until further notice they have suspended him, Sportbladet learns.
