OLOMOUC – Someone placed three severed pig heads in front of the football stadium in Olomouc on the night of Friday to Saturday, sprinkled the area with red paint reminiscent of blood, and plastered the main entrance with posters against sports manager Ladislav Minář.
The management of the club, which fell to ninth place in the league table after three defeats in a row, turned to the police.
Disgruntled fans called on the club to change on posters. “Seriously enough is enough. Pigs in charge, relinquish command,” they stated. According to iSport, Olomouc supporters are going to demonstratively leave the stands in the 19th minute of Sunday’s home match against Jablonec, which is to symbolically commemorate the year of the club’s founding in 1919.

The chairman of the board, Petr Konečný, in response to the night events in front of the Andrý stadium, wrote that the officials were shocked by their vulgarity and aggressiveness. “This act reminds us of the practices of the worst mafias. I can’t help but feel that this is a targeted effort to throw our club in the last rounds of the regular season.” stated on Sigma’s website.
He added that the Olomouc club will focus on the next match with Jablonec. “I want to ask our fans to come to support us in as many numbers as possible in a key match before we challenge Slavia and Sparta. Our players and our club will not be intimidated! The incident is being handled by the Police of the Czech Republic, in which I have full confidence. I believe that soon will come with the results of his findings,” Konečný added.
Police spokeswoman Petra Vaňharová said that the police are intensively dealing with the matter. “They are investigating all the connections and circumstances of this case,” added.
