Marianna, the wife of Kirillo Budanov, the chairman of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has been poisoned with heavy metals and is in the hospital, reports the Ukrainian web publication “Babel”, citing a source in the intelligence service.
“Currently, the course of treatment is ending, in the future there will be monitoring by doctors,” said the interlocutor of the publication.
Budanova was hospitalized after her health deteriorated, and she was diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning in the hospital, the source said.
“These substances are by no means used in the household or in the military field. Their presence may indicate a purposeful attempt to poison a specific person,” claimed the “Babel” interlocutor.
It is not known whether it was a “one-time poisoning” or “they poisoned for some time in parts”, reports the media “RBK-Ukraine”, referring to a source.
“There is currently an investigation into the assassination attempt of the wife of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense,” the publication states.
