Books – Hassan Morsi:
Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Fayoumi, Chairman of the Housing Committee in the House of Representatives, said that the old rental law requires broad societal dialogue to reach a balanced law that achieves everyone’s interests, stressing that the discussion of the law included many segments of jurists, experts, and specialists to reach a balanced formulation.

Al-Fayoumi added, in a telephone conversation with media personality Karima Awad on the “Cairo Talk” program broadcast on “Cairo and the People” satellite channel on Sunday evening, that the law is on the housing committee’s legislative agenda and we hope to finalize it during the current session.

The head of the House of Representatives Housing Committee continued: “The old rental law cannot be implemented immediately, but it will be implemented gradually, during which experts and legal experts will be heard in light of the state of tension and attraction between the landlord and the tenant.”

He explained: “The law cannot be applied at the present time, especially since this is a law that concerns the majority of the people because the majority of the people are property owners and real estate residents,” continuing: “A large percentage of the Egyptian people exceeds 85%, and it is an important law that has been postponed for consideration for decades, and every A government that was coming was postponing consideration of it.”
