Chairman Boone and CEO Spaenjers step down from the Belgian Volley League | Volley-ball

The Belgian volleyball league and the Licensing Commission have recently been both covered by the federation. A decision that Boone and Spaenjers do not agree with. That is why they stepped aside.

“I was elected chairman of an autonomous advocacy group and so I immediately resigned,” Boone explained. “Amateur sports and professional sports are two very different worlds, each requiring specific policies and expertise.”

“Together with Marc Spaenjers, who has also resigned, we look back on four very fruitful years: the conclusion of a collective labor agreement resulting in an increase in the number of paid sportsmen, the introduction of the Video Challenge System, the streaming of all matches. … All this with very few resources and with many pitfalls. ”

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed their part and I wish all clubs the best of luck in this new era. The clubs are deciding today who will take the reins and they will not fail to quickly take over all the files that I followed up until recently.”
