Chain of attacks leaves four people injured in New York subway

Two men randomly attacked four people during a 12-minute series of attacks early Friday on a New York City subway train.

According to a report published by the New York Post, The violence began around 4:25 in the morning, when the pair of attackers pushed a 44-year-old man who was sitting on a seat on train no. 4, according to a police report.

One of the attackers pulled out a knife and cut the first victim in the face. This person got off the train at Union Square Station, after which he was taken to a hospital.

The man with the knife and his companion remained on board the train, where they found a second victim, a 40-year-old man who was also shot in the face at 4:34 a.m., police said. Another man, 41, was punched in the face.

Both victims got off at Astor Place Station.

Three minutes later, the man with the knife cut a 44-year-old man in the head, police said; this victim, the fourth, got off at the Brooklyn Bridge station, and taken to an area hospital.

According to authorities, none of these attacks are believed to be treated as hate crimes, but the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, are still at large and are being wanted by the authorities.
